This sounds dumb, but the Martha Stewart brand glass paint available at craft stores works well. You can make a permanent colored glass with oven-curing or air curing, but air curing takes two weeks. It is brushed, not spray, so maybe it won't suit your needs unless you have airbrushing equipment, but it works on glass.

I don't have air brushing equipment. I am planning on painting my taillights, if I don't like it, I can remove the paint.

I'm guessing you've tried the retailer locator on krylon.com , 'cause it doesn't tell you what stores carry specific products. At least it gives you a list of stores to check. I'll agree with Wacko and check Michael's or Hobby Lobby or somewhere like that.

I'm conscience-bound by my sense of style. It's like the Hippocratic Oath for cars. "First, do no harm...."

Considering my car came with altezza lights. I think this will be an improvement.

This guy did the same thing i want to do,and I think he classes them up a bit.

Beautiful! I went to like 3 different stores like an hour ago. And none of them carried this. They had everything but this.

If you are feeling really ambitious try getting a paint shop to mix up a spray can of clear paint tinted red. Or have them mix up some clear paint tinted red and buy a cheap spray gun from harbor freight and paint em yourself for added manliness trying something new if you haven't done it before and also now you have a paint gun and the automotive 2 component paint should last longer. But the problem is it will be more expensive.

Lastly you might look into whether you can dye the plastic which if the plastic is able to accept dye consists of something like putting the plastic in hot water with dye added to it.

How much is "a bit more expensive" cause I am looking to spend around 20 bucks. Although I am going to add a clear coat to help it last a bit longer.

And I remembered the weather being absolutely freezing. So I might have to wait until March or April to do this.

I bet it would be about double that possibly more. I would buy this.

if the inside of the lens is painted it should last a while. Less UV rays dirt etc.

Do you think it is worth the extra work of dismantling the tail light?

Also, will that give the same results as the Krylon? Cause people using the Krylon have got some really good results. Like these WRX lights

I think it would be but I also have no idea how hard to disassemble the lights would be. I tend to be a perfectiononist about things. I think the vet stuff would work better but I don't really know. I guess it comes down to how long it lasts on other peeps cars I would think it would quickly fade and come off and would rather do it once. But I don't know as much as it sounds like I do.

I think people say it lasts about a year. Although, if I can take the headlight apart, then might as well paint the inside.
